Geaux Arts Ball & Living Art Exhibition

This annual event features a living art exhibit of local residents who portray classic and contemporary paintings. This year, the Art Association will partner with the New Orleans Museum of Art to highlight treasures from the museum’s permanent collection. The Ball features live music, dancing, host bar and hors d’oevres, all combining to make the Geaux Arts Ball the see-and-be-seen event of the season.

The first Geaux Arts Ball and Living Art Exhibit took place during Fall for Art on October 16, 2004. Twelve paintings were posed and brought to life over a three-hour period while a strolling violinist provided background music. After the exhibit, guests who purchased tickets were treated to ARTinis, pastries from North Shore favorite Zoe's, and Mandeville Bake Shop, and entertainment from Tony Green and the Gypsy Jazz.
