Get to know the “urban living” sites of Downtown Covington!
On Sunday, April 9 from 4 to 7 p.m., The St. Tammany Art Association is hosting a home tour with a twist! Join us on a walking tour to view apartments, courtyards, and hidden gems located right in our beautiful and bustling downtown area. The tour will begin at the Southern Hotel, take you through a collection of condos and apartments located atop of some of your favorite businesses on Boston Street, Columbia Street and more! In the tour, guests will get to view hidden gems that most people probably never knew were residences, each decorated impeccably reflecting each home owners taste and displaying some amazing art! A few courtyards will also be on the tour, where guests can see some urban green space and sanctuaries that isn’t normally see from the street.
All proceeds will benefit the St. Tammany Art Association and a light reception at STAA’s Art House will follow the tour. Inga Clough Falterman’s solo exhibition, “I should have named her
Virga,” and their Member’s Gallery exhibition will be on display. Wine and beer will be available for purchase along the route.
