St. Tammany Art Association is a non-profit, community and member supported arts organization which has been serving the Northshore for over fifty years.
The historic building in the heart of downtown Covington provides exhibitions, educational arts programming and cultural enrichment for the communities north of and surrounding Lake Pontchartrain. The Main Gallery displays a wide variety of styles and media, and changes its exhibitions every month. There are often one or two solo or group shows, along with regular showings of Association artist members and open competitions with cash awards for artists at least once per year. STAA galleries, studios, classrooms, and executive office are located at 320 N. Columbia Street.
Membership in STAA is open to artists and art patrons alike. Benefits include discounts on art classes, subscription to our eNewsletter, and opportunities to sell work in the Members' Gallery.
The mission of the St. Tammany Art Association is to provide quality programming and cultural enrichment to the community, to support established artists, to promote emerging artists, and to produce educational arts related activities for adults and children and, in doing so, enhance life in St. Tammany Parish.
